About Me:

Hi, I’m Zoe!

I am a student from England studying for a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Japanese Studies at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in conjunction with the Sainsbury Institute for the Study of Japanese Arts and Cultures (SISJAC). The MA covers a large range of topics including art history, literature and international relations. I’m also challenging myself to learn Japanese. Previously I studied molecular and cellular biochemistry (MBiochem) at Oxford University, where I took an additional course in the history and philosophy of science. So I’m very interested in both science and humanities. This blog will give you an insight into my learning experience. It includes examples of work I have been set to do, reviews of books I have read and lectures I have attended. All the photographs which illustrate my writing are taken by me, unless credited otherwise.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I am enjoying my course.

Happy Reading!
